Summary of the role

Commercial and inspirational Store Managers are essential to the success of Topps Tiles. As Store Manager you will have full profit and loss accountability for your business, as well as leading a team in achieving operational excellence and outstanding customer service.

You will be expected to deliver results and manage the rest of the team in achieving store and personal goals.

The Role:
*Managing and motivating a team to increase sales and ensure efficiency.
*Analysing sales figures and forecasting future sales volumes to maximise profits.
*Using information technology to record sales figures and for data analysis and forward planning.
*Dealing with staffing issues: recruiting potential staff; conducting appraisals and performance reviews; and providing or organising training and development.
*Ensuring standards for quality, customer service and health and safety are met.
*Responding to customer complaints and comments.
*Taking accountability for the quality of stock, service, sales and losses.
*Meeting performance targets including sales, stock control and costs.
*Promoting the organisation locally by liaising with the community in general.
*Updating colleagues on business performance, new initiatives and other pertinent issues;
*Being on the sales floor regularly, talking to colleagues and customers, and identifying or resolving urgent issues.
*Maintaining awareness of market trends in the retail industry, understanding forthcoming customer initiatives, and monitoring what local competitors are doing.
*Initiating changes to improve the business.

The Person:
*Significant experience in a fast paced and demanding retail management role
*Proven track record of exceeding sales and profit targets through inspirational leadership and customer service
*Outstanding leadership, coaching and people management skills
